10 MAN ABERDEEN BEAT THE HOOPS

Aberdeen have beaten Celtic to top the table and have made history by winning 6 games in a row from the start of a season the first time the club has ever done this in its 112 year history. The Dons came from behind to beat the defending champions at Pittodre. Lee Griffiths opened the scoring with a goal in the 35th from the penalty spot after winning it when Andrew Considine brought him down in the box. Aberdeen leveled the scoring when Adam Rooney burried a penalty into the bottom corner in the 56th minute. The penalty won by Graeme Shinnie after he was taken down by Dedryck Boyata. The Dons were left with ten men afte Jonny Hayes was shown the red card by Craig Thompson after a tackle on Nir Bitton. Amazingly Paul Quinn scored a 86th minute winner. Niall McGinn floated free kick into the danger zone. Gordon did not come for it and Quinn inside the six yard box was able to tap the ball past the Celtic keeper. Pittodrie went erupted. Lee Griffthis nearly shattered the Dons dreams when Paul Quinn made a mistake and the striker latched onto the lose ball and rounded Danny Ward and shot the ball towards goal but Andrew Considine kicked the ball off the line. The ten men of Aberdeen managed to see out the remaning minutes to achieve a historic victory inside a rocking Pittodre. The Dons now sit two points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.
