Aberdeen FC have made through to the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

The Reds Knocked out KF Shkendija in two toughly contested matches. Afer a 1-1 draw in Macedonia the Dons went back to Aberdeen with the advantage. In the match both teams enjoyed large spells of possesion but neither of the teams managed to get a lot of shots towards the net. Kenny McLean and Graeme Shinnie both produced good just before the half-time interval. The best chance of the match was a late Besart Ibrami shot for the vistors that was tipped over the bar by a fine Ward save to keep the dons in the competion. The game ended at 0-0 and Aberdeen scraped through on away goals. The dons will now face Croation team HNK Rijeka in the second qualifing round of the Europa league.
